About Me

I’m Sandrine.  I’m originally from Paris and moved to the U.S. in 2004. For nearly two decades, I’ve taught French in middle and high schools, working with learners at every level:  from complete beginners to post-AP.  I’ve spent most of my career in rigorous academic settings, but my real focus has always been on one thing: making French feel alive and relevant to my teenage audience.

Let’s be honest, teaching teens isn’t easy. They’re sharp, opinionated, and quick to tune out anything that feels boring or disconnected from their world. That’s why my teaching style is rooted in authenticity, curiosity, and cultural connection. I use real videos, songs, articles, memes, interviews, and current events — not just to teach grammar and vocab, but to invite students to explore the world behind the language.

My classroom is a space where students speak, write, listen, and think, using French in meaningful ways to engage with real topics: from music and social media to identity, politics, and pop culture. My goal is for every student to feel that what we’re learning matters and that they’re capable of participating in the global conversation.

The resources I design reflect that same philosophy. They’re teen-centered, multimodal, culturally rich, and low-prep. They are created with the same care I put into my own lessons. By making them available to French teachers around the world, I hope to support others who, like me, want to teach the language and the world it lives in.

If my lessons can save you time, spark something in your students, and remind you why you love teaching French,  then I’ve done what I set out to do.

Bonnes classes!
